Kaarthika Vilakku
The lamp (Nilavilakku) reprsents the unconditional love and affection and selfless and friendly relation of Krishna and Rama. The lamp lit by my friend and his beloved mother on last Karthika at his home. The light at the left represents Krishna (lit by my friend and right one by his mother) and that at right is Rama. The picture is taken with Nokia mobile on 24th November at 6.50 pm IST.

A few comments on the photograph.
it is over exposed, grainy and poorly composed. The white balance is also off to the green.
The flame has caused a spike in the intensity of color.
Next time try to add some diffused light in the dark areas.

ചിത്രം നന്നായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നതില്‍ തര്‍ക്കമില്ല. പക്ഷേ കൈപ്പള്ളി പറഞ്ഞതുപോലെ സാങ്കേതികതികവ് ചിത്രത്തിനില്ല. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് പച്ചനിറത്തിന്റെ വൈറ്റ് ബാലന്‍സിങ്. എന്നാല്‍ ചിത്രം ഒരുസാധാരണ മൊബൈല്‍ ക്യാമറ വച്ച് എടുത്തതാണ് എന്നത് പരിഗണിക്കു‌മ്പോള്‍ ചിത്രം വളരെ നന്നായിരിക്കുന്നു എന്നതില്‍ ഒരുസംശയവും വേണ്ട. Nokia 6070 മൊബൈലില്‍ ഒരു ക്യാമറ ഉണ്ട് എന്നല്ലാതെ Sony EricssonW700i പോലെയുള്ള ഒരു നല്ലക്യാമറ മൊബൈല്‍ അല്ല അത് എന്ന് ഓര്‍ക്കണം.
കൈപ്പള്ളി SLR ക്യാമറയില്‍ ചെയ്യാന്‍ പറ്റുന്നതൊക്കെ ഒരു സാധാരണ മോബൈല്‍ ക്യാമറ കൊണ്ട് ചെയ്യാന്‍ കഴിയില്ല എന്നോര്‍ക്കുക.അയ്യായിരം രൂപയുടെ ഒരു മൊബൈല്‍ ക്യമറയും അമ്പതിനായിരം രൂപയുടെ ഒരു SLR ക്യാമറയും തമ്മില്‍ അജഗജാന്തര വ്യത്യാസമുണ്ട്.

കാര്‍ത്തിക വിളക്കിന്റെ ചിത്രം വളരെ നന്നയിട്ടുണ്ട് അഭിനന്ദനങ്ങള്‍. സന്ധ്യയ്ക്ക് വീടുകളില്‍ മണ്‍ചെരാതുകളില്‍ ദീപം തെളിയിക്കുന്ന ഒരു ആഘോഷം. ദക്ഷിണ കേരളത്തില്‍ അതിന് അത്ര പ്രാധാന്യമുണ്ട് എന്ന്തോന്നുന്നില്ല. കേരളത്തിന്റെ വടക്കന്‍ ജില്ലകളില്‍ കണ്ടിട്ടുണ്ട്. പ്രത്യേകിച്ച് പാലക്കാട് ജില്ലയില്‍. അതിന് ഇങ്ങനെ ഒരു സങ്കല്പം ഉണ്ട് എന്ന് ഇപ്പോഴാണ് അറിയുന്നത്.
ബ്ലോഗ് ഒന്ന് മലയാളീകരിച്ചുകൂടെ? കേരളത്തെകുറിച്ചും നമ്മുടെ ആഘോഷങ്ങളെപറ്റിയും ആകുമ്പോള്‍ അത് മലയാളമാകുന്നതായിരിക്കും കൂടുതല്‍ ഭംഗി.
